What information about me is collected by GeoMob?

Information you provide – When you sign up for a GeoMob account, you will be asked to create a username and password, which we will collect. We ask you for personal information (such as your physical address, email address, phone number(s), profile status message, physical location, your images uploaded by you, your profile status, and your friends’ usernames, profile information, uploaded images, and location information), although you may choose whether to provide such information or not. We may combine the information you submit under your account with additional information from other Services or third parties to provide you with a better experience and to improve our Services. Your activity - We track your interactions with us, including but not limited to your usage activity, you’re ratings you assign to features, the filters you create, the geographic information that you enter, your searches, your items viewed for sale, your items posted for sale, your stored neighborhood names, location and type, your stored physical locations, your subscription to Neighborhood Services (“Neighborhood Services” are the applications accessible through the Neighborhood Services icon) and your correspondence. We use this information to provide recommendations to personalize the Service, to track your interests, to ensure the technical functioning of our website, to develop new Services and enhance existing Services, and to help us quickly and efficiently respond to inquiries and requests.

Where and when is information collected by GeoMob (including through the use of cookies and action tags)?

Cookies – When you visit GeoMob, we send one or more cookies – a small file containing a string of characters – to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve our Service by storing your preferences. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, the Services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled. User communications – When you send email or other communications to GeoMob, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our Services. Log files - We also collect non-personally identifiable information through our Internet log files, which record data such as user IP addresses, browser types, domain names, and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of the Service. This information may be used to analyze trends, to administer the Service, to monitor the use of the Service, and to gather general demographic information.

Does GeoMob collect information from children under 13 years of age?

GeoMob’s Services are not intended for and may not be used by children under the age of 13. GeoMob does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for GeoMob or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on GeoMob. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. What does GeoMob do with the information it collects?

In general, we use the information collected at GeoMob to provide the Service to you, to help us understand who uses the Service, to improve the Service, and to contact you for customer service purposes. We may use your information to send you a welcoming email that may confirm your user name. If you identify yourself to us by sending us an email with questions or comments, we may use your information (including personally identifiable information) to respond to your questions or comments, and we may file your questions or comments for future reference. We may also use the information collected to send you important service announcements and updates regarding the Service. Unless you terminate your account, you will not be able to unsubscribe from these service announcements and updates as they contain important information relevant to your use of the Service.

When does GeoMob disclose information to third parties?

Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy or as specifically authorized by you, we will not disclose any information we gather from you on the Service.
Laws and Legal Rights - we may disclose your information (including personally identifiable information) if we believe in good faith that we are required to do so in order to comply with an applicable statute, regulation, rule or law, a subpoena, a search warrant, a court or regulatory order, or other valid legal process. We may disclose personally identifiable information in special circumstances when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating the Terms of Service for our Services, or to protect the safety and/or security of our users, GeoMob or the general public.

We may link some of this information to personally identifiable information for internal purposes only or to improve your experience with the Service. We may provide analyses of our users in the aggregate to prospective partners or other third parties without identifying you as an individual. For example, we might inform third parties regarding the number of unique users who visit the Service, the demographic breakdown of our registered users of the Service, or the products and/or services purchased using the Service. Outside Contractors - we may employ independent contractors, vendors and suppliers (collectively, "Outside Contractors") to provide specific services and products related to the Service, such as hosting and maintaining the Service, processing payments, fraud screening, and developing applications for the Service. Affiliates - we may disclose information (including personally identifiable information) about you to our Affiliates. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Affiliates" means any person or entity which directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with GeoMob, whether by ownership or otherwise. Any information relating to you that we provide to our Affiliates will be treated by those Affiliates in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Does this Privacy Policy apply when I link to other websites?

You may be able to link to other websites not owned or operated by GeoMob. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by GeoMob, and does not apply to your activity when you access other websites not owned or operated by GeoMob.

Is the information collected by GeoMob secure?

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data. We restrict access to personal information to GeoMob employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline if they fail to meet these obligations.

What choices do I have regarding the collection, disclosure and distribution of personally identifiable information?

You may decline to submit personal information to GeoMob, in which case GeoMob may not be able to provide the Service.

Can I update or correct my personally identifiable information?

When you use GeoMob Services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We expect most such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page. Each version of this Privacy Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date.
